The Georgia Association of Mortgage Professionals (GAMP) was incorporated in 1985 as a 501(c)(6) nonprofit state trade organization with the following purposes: "to promote the business of mortgage brokerage, to educate members of the mortgage brokerage community, to promote high standards of integrity and responsibility in the mortgage brokerage community, to educate the public as to the desirability of mortgage brokerage, and to do all other things necessary for the advancement of mortgage brokerage business." GAMP Members still uphold these purposes as they were originally written in the organization's Articles of Incorporation, proudly supporting the mortgage brokerage industry on both state and national levels.

Whether your interest lies in fraternizing with others who share your profession, having greater access to industry information, building your business network, being recognized for your achievements, or fighting for a cause to further the interests of your industry and strengthening the voice of the mortgage professional, you will be a welcome member of the Georgia Association of Mortgage Professionals.

GAMP Membership Categories

GAMP has four membership categories, as shown below. If you have questions, please feel free to contact GAMP at (404) 845-4075 or info@gamp.pro.

Mortgage Brokers & Mortgage Broker/Lenders:

Professional Voting Members $299
Membership in this category shall be open to any individual licensed as or acting as a "mortgage loan originator." Members in this category have a vote in the affairs of the Association. Mortgage loan originator means a person who is in the profession of making or negotiating, directly with the consumer, the origination of loans secured by real property.

Memberships for Loan Officers and Other Mortgage Broker Employees:

Professional Non-Voting Members Associate $199
Membership in this category shall be open to any individual licensed or registered as a mortgage loan originator or employed by a retail mortgage origination company. A retail mortgage origination company is defined as any company that is in the profession of making or negotiating, directly with the consumer, the origination of loans secured by real property. Non-voting members may serve on committees but shall not have a vote in the affairs of the Association unless they have been elected to serve on the Board of Directors.

All Others:

Affiliate Membership $299
GAMP offers an Affiliate membership for all of those individuals that support the mortgage industry but do not qualify for membership in one of the above categories.

Additional Notes on Applying for Membership

Membership is for Individuals (Not Companies)

Please note that all memberships in GAMP at this time are for individuals as opposed to corporate or company memberships.

Membership Dues Tax Deductibility

Federal laws prohibit deducting any part of membership Dues used in federal lobbying activities from your taxes. An estimated 60% of GAMP dues and 100% of GMBPAC dues are not tax deductible.

Anniversary Dues Billing: Membership is Good for 1 Full Year

GAMP bills for dues on anniversary dates. This means that when you pay your GAMP dues, your membership will be good for 1 full year from the date of your membership approval. Because we bill by anniversary date and a member always gets a full year of membership, dues are never prorated.

Agreeing to Abide by GAMP Requirements

When you apply for GAMP membership, you agree to abide by the requirements of the GAMP Code of Ethics and Professional Standards & Best Lending Practices, as well as to support GAMP's Bylaws and board policies, as they are now and as they may be amended.

The GAMP Membership Committee

The GAMP Membership Committee solicits new members, presents applicants to the Board of Directors for approval, and works to promote membership growth in the association.
