The GAMP Legislative Committee and its government affairs consultants stay in close contact with state legislators and the Georgia Department of Banking & Finance, as well as with related associations within the real estate and mortgage community. This enables GAMP to have a strong voice in state legislation that affects the mortgage industry. GAMP broadcasts legislative alerts and calls to action, and solicit input from members on various issues. Many GAMP Members also belong to the Georgia Mortgage Brokers Political Action Committee (GMBPAC), a nonprofit group formed by GAMP Members to raise and disburse funds to support the election of political candidates who have an understanding of the real estate finance and housing industries and who are supportive of the mortgage broker profession.
The GAMP Legislative Committee meets regularly, working on state and national legislative and regulatory matters to support the interests of its members and the mortgage industry. If you are interested in joining this committee, click on the GAMP Committee Sign Up Sheet below. Please note that you must be a GAMP Member in order to serve on a committee.

The Georgia Mortgage Brokers Political Action Committee (GMBPAC) is a nonprofit group that was formed by a group of GAMP Members for the purpose of raising and distributing funds to support the election of political candidates who have an understanding of the real estate and housing industries and who are supportive of the mortgage broker profession. GMBPAC operates separately from GAMP, but many of GAMP';s members belong to and support both organizations. If you are interested in joining GMBPAC, you can sign up while paying your GAMP annual dues, or you can join either group separately. GMBPAC annual dues are $25 for an individual or $200 for a corporate membership that includes membership for up to 10 employees from a company.
