GAMB Charitable Events

GAMB supports various community charities through the GAMB Charitable Events Committee, providing a means for members to interact with and enrich the community through volunteer workdays and fundraising charitable events. Some of our members' past efforts have supported Noah's Arc, Rainbow Village, the Center for Children and Young Adults, The Foundation Fighting Blindness (VisionWalk), North Fulton Community Charities, Toys for Tots, the March of Dimes, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Salvation Army, Ronald McDonald House, American Caribbean Experience, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Operation Santa, and Habitat for Humanity.

GAMB's Participation in the DECA Scholarship Program

In the interest of setting up an educational scholarship program within the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB), Bob Armbruster, Past President of NAMB and GAMB, facilitated a relationship with DECA, Inc., a nonpartisan, non-sectarian 501©(3) association of students, teachers and administrators that is endorsed by all 50 state departments of education and the U.S. Department of Education. NAMB then offered its State Affiliates the option of contributing funds for educational scholarships to be given to students residing in their own individual states.

Through this program, GAMB has provided college scholarships to worthy Georgia students, and GAMB member volunteers have helped to judge student scholarship competitions and determine the amount of the scholarships awards for GAMB's winning students.

DECA provides over $300,000 in scholarships at the International Career Development Conference each year, administers the program based on guidelines set by the donor, and its scholarships are strictly merit based. Click on the link below for further information on DECA.

GAMB Consumer Support

GAMB has participated in consumer forum presentations held in conjunction with the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia (MBAG), the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, and the Realtors to educate consumers and answer questions on mortgage lending and housing industry topics.

Members of the GAMB Board are also available to answer any questions consumers may have about the mortgage process.

If you would be interested in having GAMB make a presentation to your group, or if you have questions about the mortgage lending process, please contact GAMB at (404) 845-4075 or send us an email.
