Liaisons keep GAMP informed on the activities of other groups that also operate in the interest of the mortgage industry. Liaisons are not GAMP Board Members, but often attend GAMP Board Meetings to make reports, keeping the GAMP Board advised on pertinent issues.
The Georgia Mortgage Brokers Political Action Committee (GMBPAC) is a nonprofit group that was formed by a group of GAMP Members to raise and distribute funds to support the election of political candidates who have an understanding of the real estate and housing industries and who are supportive of the mortgage broker profession. Because the group was created to raise and distribute funds to political candidates, GMBPAC hosts a number of fundraising events each year, such as golf tournaments. GMBPAC also hosts an annual "Legislative Night" or "Lobby Day at the State Capitol," where the mortgage community is provided with an opportunity to meet and discuss issues with state legislators. GMBPAC Members receive discounted event fees. If you are interested in joining GMBPAC, you can sign up while paying your GAMP annual dues (GMBPAC membership is an option on the GAMP Membership Application), or you can join either group separately. GMBPAC annual dues are $25 for an individual or $200 for a corporate membership that includes membership for up to 10 employees from a company.

Since GAMP and the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia (MBAG) share many similar interests and have a number of members in common, the two groups keep in touch, share information, and meet together to work on issues of interest to both associations.
